Reporting to the Senior Manager – Systems Support APAC, the Systems Engineer IV is responsible for providing systems support to our customers across the Asia Pacific Region. You will join our talented team in troubleshooting a wide range of reported incidents and service requests to ensure the availability of their systems. Acting as one of the technical escalation point of contacts, you will have to opportunity to also assist in delivery, support and maintenance of various system projects and be exposed to new innovative technologies.
This position will either be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Day to day resolution of technical support tickets and requests for IGT’s core products and services
• Applying service releases, system upgrades and assisting customers with the management and maintenance of their systems
• Assist the delivery teams across the region through the implementation of new installs and/or upgrades
• Working collaboratively with teams throughout the APAC region to solve problems and enhance the customer experience
• Ongoing training & testing of new system products and technologies
Knowledge & Experience:
Working knowledge and experience in more than one of the following technologies:
• Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent RDBMS– Database Administration, T-SQL Query optimization & performance tuning
• Virtualization – Hyper-V and/or VMware environments, High Availability & Clustering technologies
• Windows Server, Centos/Linux/Red Hat Operating Systems – Roles services and features
• Systems & Network Administration - Strong working knowledge in implementing, managing, maintaining internal and/or customer environments
• Experience in Storage & Backup technologies and concepts
• Fundamental understanding of various technologies and it’s concepts
Non-Essential but highly desirable:
• Previous experience with DevOps, scripting/automation or middleware administration highly regarded
• Previous experience working in IT Managed Service Provider or Systems Integrator
• Previous experience working in an ITIL framework
